According to information from the platforms, large investors purchased over 1.32 billion Dogecoin (DOGE) in the middle of this week.

The volume of investments in this altcoin in one day amounted to approximately $ 127 million. In previous days, large DOGE holders, on average, bought about 500 million DOGE daily.

This increase in activity on the part of large holders of the digital currency has led to an increase in its value. At the end of last week, Dogecoin reached $0.101.

However, on Tuesday, December 12, this altcoin fell to $ 0.91 due to the actions of investors who began to take profits. A similar decrease was also observed for bitcoin (BTC) and ether (ETH).

It was at this point that large investors stepped up and acquired 1.32 billion DOGE. Thanks to this support, the price of the cryptocurrency rose to $0.098 by the evening of the same day, but today it was adjusted to $0.094.

Whales currently hold Dogecoin on their wallets for a total of $1.62 billion. Most of this digital currency is stored in vaults disconnected from the network. Indicators of network activity show that it decreases at the end of the week, and this is evidenced by the data from Santiment.

The average daily number of addresses involved in transactions fell to 109,310 on Thursday, while the day before this number was approaching 183,000.

Whale activity is also decreasing, and over the past two days, the Dogecoin network has noted a decrease in the number of transactions in excess of $100,000.
