The founder of Twitter and the head of Block, Jack Dorsey, in an interview with Bitcoin Magazine, emphasized the significant impact of the first cryptocurrency on humanity. According to him, this digital currency contributes to "world peace."

Dorsey expressed the opinion that bitcoin is also capable of creating an excess of energy in the world. He agreed with the point of view that over the past few years bitcoin has outgrown its initial status as a "toy" project and has become a serious enterprise.

The head of Block also noted that the first cryptocurrency has become more stable, and the community is actively developing ways to detect and eliminate new threats.

Discussing the risks of centralization in the mining sector, Dorsey pointed to a solution to the problem in the form of a decentralized bitcoin pool Ocean.

In June 2023, the head of Block allocated $5 million to the Brink Foundation to support Bitcoin Core developers. As part of the Start Small initiative, this fund will provide $1 million annually.

In the same month, Dorsey also expressed support for US presidential candidate Robert Francis Kennedy Jr., who openly criticized central bank digital currencies (CBDC), supported bitcoin and made donations in the first cryptocurrency.
