Peter Schiff argues that the decline of bitcoin will be more noticeable than its ascent

Dec 4, 2023

One of the leading critics of the first cryptocurrency in the world expressed his opinion about the new historical maximum value of bitcoin. An expert in financial matters insists on the inevitability of the collapse of the first cryptocurrency in the world.

"The speculative fever around bitcoin exchange-traded stock indices (ETFs) will soon end. The collapse of bitcoin will be more impressive than its growth," warned Peter Schiff.

On the other hand, an experienced investor believes that an increase in the price of gold is quite possible:

"The price of gold dropped to below $2,100, which served as an incentive for the growth of bitcoin, which jumped to almost $41,000. For bitcoin, this is, in fact, its last chord."

Peter Schiff, known as the "golden hill," a passionate advocate of investing in precious metals, constantly criticizes cryptocurrencies, often comparing their supporters to sectarians. He recently stated that bitcoin is a cheap imitation of gold, and that cryptocurrencies do not have specific goals and objectives.

At the time of publication, on Monday, December 4, bitcoin was trading above $41,000. According to CoinMarketCap, bitcoin's market capitalization reached $810 billion dollars. Over the year, the price of bitcoin has increased by 144%.
