One of the top eSports teams in the world, Team Liquid, has joined forces with Illuvium to release a PvP autobattler, Illuvium: Arena. Eight streamers from Team Liquid will begin testing competitive modes in Illuvium: Arena, which recently became available in early access on Epic Games' platform.
Australian developer Illuvium has been working on the game for three years, and in that time it has become one of the most anticipated titles on the Web3 format. Team Liquid's founder and co-CEO, Victor Goossens, expressed his impression: "We are very impressed with the quality of Illuvium: Arena so far. Their commitment to the competitive mode and attention to detail in creating the game world inspires confidence that this will be a game that rewards skill and strategy. It's a unique project where both sides benefit from each other's experience, and we look forward to testing all of the game's features."
In addition, a limited edition Team Liquid NFT Illuvitar collection will be released at the launch of Arena mode on December 12. Team Liquid's participation in Illuvium: Arena tournaments is also being considered.
Illuvium CEO, Kieran Warwick, emphasized the importance of overcoming skepticism towards blockchain gaming and highlighted the path to success through providing a unique gaming experience. He said, "The collaboration with Team Liquid is an important moment to demonstrate that blockchain games, including NFT, can deliver an engaging and deep gameplay experience on par with traditional games.
In addition to Illuvium: Arena, the expansive world of Illuvium also features the city-builder Illuvium: Zero, where players can generate fuel. This fuel, in turn, is an important resource in the Illuvium: World, used for traveling, crafting and forging. Resources and characters collected in Overworld can be used in the game Illuvium: Arena.
