The developers of the BNB Chain ecosystem presented a report in which they talked about key moments in the history of the brand and the planned plans for 2024.

In a document titled "BNB Chain and the prospects of Web3", the team shared the history of the development of BSC, since its launch in September 2020, and has grown to the status of one of the largest ecosystems of the first level.

The report also describes two other community-driven blockchains: opBNB's second-tier solution and Greenfield's decentralized data storage network.

Among the achievements of the project are noted:

Achieving BSC throughput of 2000 TPS and processing 32 million transactions per day.
opBNB had 71 million transactions in 2023 with a capacity of 4,500 TPS.
The ecosystem has reduced the losses associated with hacking and fraud by 85%, significantly improving security.
According to the report, in 2023, gas costs at BSC increased by 21%, and the number of daily transactions increased by 35% compared to the previous year.

"In 2024, BNB Chain will focus on key aspects such as increasing throughput, speed and storage efficiency in order to strengthen its position as a leading EVM platform," the press release said.

Among the planned initiatives for the year are BNB Chain Fusion, BSC staking, improvement of management principles and implementation of opBNB Connect to support project developers in the ecosystem.

The team also intends to develop the Web3 economy by offering "ultra-fast, cost-effective, scalable and secure multi-chain strategies."

Recall that in November 2023, the developers presented the opBNB roadmap, which aims to improve performance and reduce transaction costs.
