Mikael van de Poppe, a popular trader and founder of the Eight investment company, praised the Polkadot project. He noted that although the project lags far behind competitors in terms of price increases, it has long been established as a high-quality product. The specialist emphasized his support for investing in first-level products (Layer1) and other fundamental ecosystems.

The analyst assures that the quotes in the DOT/BTC pair are at their minimum in the current cycle, which may indicate an upcoming explosive increase in the value of Polkadot. According to his analysis, his interest in this product is growing due to the active development of the PEAQ project, the Polkadot blockchain, which provides the ability to deploy decentralized applications (dApps) for various devices, including vehicles and robots.

Van de Poppe stressed that developers are also actively working to develop the focus of DePIN, blockchain protocols capable of creating and maintaining hardware infrastructure on an open and decentralized basis. He also noted that the number of developers in the Polkadot ecosystem is almost as good as Ethereum, and the Polkadot SDK tool is a powerful solution.

Van de Poppe has previously stressed that a key feature of the Polkadot 2.0 innovation ecosystem will be its emphasis on efficient and equitable resource allocation. In his opinion, the blockchain technology will continue to develop and bear fruit.

The investor also noted that the developers plan to implement a consensus mechanism — nominated proof of stake (NPOs), which will allow holders of digital assets to appoint validators, contributing to decentralization and increasing the number of participants eligible to vote.
