The XRP trading pair, XRP/BUSD, is scheduled for removal from Binance, the world's largest cryptocurrency exchange by trading volume.

Binance Margin will delist the XRP/BUSD cross margin and isolated margin pairs on November 23 at 6:00 a.m. (UTC), as per an official notification issued by the exchange.

The delisting announcement also affects the BNB/BUSD trading pair, which will be removed from Binance Margin as well.

Before the removal from Binance Margin on November 23 at 6:00 a.m. (UTC), Binance plans to close users' positions and perform automatic settlements while canceling any pending orders on the XRP/BUSD cross and isolated margin pairs.

To navigate this change, users are strongly advised to close their positions and/or transfer their assets from margin wallets to spot wallets before margin trading ceases on November 23 at 6:00 a.m. (UTC) since they won't have the option to adjust their positions during the delisting process.

It's important to note that this announcement solely affects the XRP/BUSD pair, and other XRP trading pairs on Binance Margin will remain available for trading.

XRP continues to be prominently traded on Binance, with the XRP/USDT trading pair representing a significant portion, accounting for 16% of daily trading volumes on the crypto exchange.

The decision to delist the BUSD pair coincides with Binance's gradual phasing out of support for the BUSD stablecoin, which includes its removal from spot and margin trading pairs.

This move is prompted by the cessation of BUSD token minting by stablecoin issuer Paxos back in February. Users have been encouraged to convert their BUSD tokens into alternative assets by February of the following year.

According to CoinMarketCap data, at the time of writing, XRP had experienced a 1.76% decrease in the past 24 hours, with its price standing at $0.639.
