An unknown investor earned $784,000 on the meme token BONK on the Solana blockchain. From October 30 to November 29, they acquired 69 billion coins and sold 52.3 billion for $927,000 on December 15. Over the past day, the token's price has surged by 134%, reaching an all-time high of $0.00003416, thanks to its listing on Binance and Coinbase exchanges, as reported by Dapp Expert. According to TradingView data, the asset has seen an 8667% increase in value over the past six months.

This rapid growth also led to the sellout of the Web 3.0 smartphone Saga from Solana developers in the United States and Europe. The reason is that buyers of this device receive 30 million BONK tokens as a gift. The phone itself is priced at $590, while the gift tokens are valued at $1024 at the current exchange rate.

Interestingly, just a week ago, Anatoly Yakovenko, one of the co-founders of Solana Labs, noted very low demand for the Saga smartphone. He reported that only 2200 devices had been sold since January, despite the need for 25,000 to 50,000 sales to build an active user base, as stated by the top executive at the time.

BONK was created in December of the previous year to incentivize activity in the Solana ecosystem. At launch, 5% of the total supply of the asset was distributed among the blockchain community members, including app developers, creators of NFT collections, and active users.

On December 6, thanks to a sharp increase in its market capitalization, BONK surpassed its competitor FLOKI and took third place in the list of cryptocurrencies using a Shiba Inu dog as their mascot. Now, BONK is only behind DOGE and SHIB.

The increased activity of developers in the Solana ecosystem has attracted the attention of analysts from the VanEck fund, who speculate that in the near future, Solana's blockchain will rise to third place in the cryptocurrency market capitalization rankings.

Binance also notes the rapid growth of Solana compared to other first-tier blockchains (L1).
