Adidas and Bugatti have collaborated to announce a special auction of a limited quantity of soccer "boots" through the shoemakers' web3 platform.

A total of 99 pairs of shoes, inspired by Bugatti's car designs, will be available for sale from November 8 to November 11. Potential collectors can participate in the bidding process by utilizing MoonPay for their transactions. These exclusive shoes, available in black and a blue shade reminiscent of early Bugatti Grand Prix cars, will come with a digital twin.

The joint statement by both companies emphasized that this new collection draws inspiration from Bugatti's defining characteristics, not only prioritizing speed but also adhering to a 'Form Follows Performance' design philosophy, ensuring top-notch performance. These shoes, like all Bugatti products, are expected to remain rare and highly sought after by dedicated collectors for years to come.

This announcement follows a recent event by Nike-RTFKT, where NFT owners had the opportunity to order physical shoes. It's a trend among major brands to cater to the engaged crypto audience by offering limited editions of physical products bundled with digital assets, often referred to as "phygitals."

To participate in the auction, interested consumers will need to use cryptocurrency, although it's worth noting that bidders don't necessarily need to already own cryptocurrency as they can conveniently convert traditional currency to crypto through MoonPay for the auction process.
