The cryptocurrency exchange Binance has temporarily suspended the withdrawal of B-tokens (BEP-2) on the BNB Beacon Chain network. This decision is related to plans to gradually halt the operation of this blockchain, scheduled for April 2024.
According to the official statement, the company actively supports the process of migrating users to the BNB Smart Chain to ensure uninterrupted operation. The exchange team is collaborating with clients whose assets are on the BNB Beacon Chain network.
Binance recommends users utilizing the BEP-2 standard to convert their tokens to the BEP-20 format. Currently, withdrawals from the blockchain associated with Binance tokens are temporarily suspended.
Operations with other assets will be available until February 21, 2024. After this date, withdrawals on the BNB Beacon Chain network will be completely discontinued.
Exchange representatives note that deposits of B-tokens in the mentioned blockchain will be supported until further notice.
It is important to note that the discontinuation of this network's operation is related to the transition of the BNB Chain project from a dual-chain structure. As part of this restructuring, the Beacon and Smart Chain blockchains will be merged into a single chain supporting the BEP-20 standard.
