Bitcoin Price Increased by 45% in February

Mar 1, 2024

In February, the price of Bitcoin showed an impressive growth of 45%, reaching a level not seen since December 2020. This increase marked the sixth consecutive month of value growth, confirming the resilience and strength of cryptocurrency amid disproven market expectations and expert forecasts of potential cryptocurrency growth at any moment.

Bitcoin and Ethereum, often referred to as "blue chips" of the cryptocurrency market, attracted special attention in February. In addition to Bitcoin's rise, Ethereum also demonstrated a significant increase in value of over 47%, the largest monthly gain since July 2022. By the end of the month, Bitcoin had risen by 3% in the last 24 hours, reaching $62,000, indicating a weekly growth of 21%. Ethereum followed Bitcoin, showing a daily growth of 3.5% and reaching $3,400, with a weekly gain of 18.8%. Other cryptocurrencies such as Solana and Cardano also demonstrated significant growth.

February proved to be an innovative month for Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs), recording a record daily net inflow of $677 million. Analysts attribute Bitcoin's explosive growth to a combination of demand and supply factors, as well as expectations of a reduction in Bitcoin supply and inflows into spot Bitcoin ETFs.

Technical analysis shows that Bitcoin is in a stable rally, maintaining its growth momentum. Having surpassed the key level of $60,000, the cryptocurrency is now targeting a record level of $69,000. According to Fibonacci retracement, the next target for Bitcoin is $100,000 in the coming weeks, although this seems like an optimistic forecast. It is important to note that the continuation of the rally may encounter a correction during the upcoming supply reduction, as the current RSI index indicates market overbought conditions.
