COURTYARD ANNOUNCES GIVEAWAY OF POKÉMON CARDS TOKENIZED AS NFTS

Nov 11, 2023

Courtyard, an innovative startup in the realm of crypto collectibles, is gearing up for a thrilling event aimed at card enthusiasts. Beginning November 14, Courtyard will be distributing hundreds of mystery packs, each filled with a mix of graded and tokenized Pokémon cards. This special giveaway is scheduled to run for four days, concluding on November 17.

Each pack includes a unique NFT linked to a graded Pokémon card, enabling the trade of its digital counterpart. This initiative is a part of Courtyard's efforts to bring Pokémon cards onto the blockchain, creating a digitally scarce resource while also offering a secure, verifiable identifier to prove the authenticity of these digital items.

To ensure the safety of the physical cards, they are stored securely with Brink’s vaulting services. The owners of the digital NFTs have the right to claim their physical versions officially.

The assortment of cards available in this giveaway is diverse, featuring everything from classic base set cards to contemporary ones, as well as various promotional cards. Among these are coveted items like the 2020 Sword & Shield Shiny Star Charizard and a rare 1998 Starter Red Green Gift Set Holo Scyther.

In a collaborative effort with Privy and Chimpers, an Ethereum NFT collection, Courtyard is releasing this collection to the public at no cost as part of an early Thanksgiving promotional campaign. A total of 400 packs will be distributed over the event's duration, with 100 packs available each day.

In addition to the main giveaway, Courtyard is setting aside ten extra packs for collectors who provide the most creative answers to Thanksgiving-themed questions posed by the company. Courtyard has a track record of success in this arena, having previously organized and sold out nine similar events, integrating approximately $200,000 worth of graded Pokémon cards into the blockchain.

The excitement kicks off with virtual openings starting November 21, offering a fun and potentially lucrative experience for Pokémon card collectors.
