The Taraba State government, in partnership with the Algorand Foundation, has successfully trained around 100 young Nigerians in blockchain technology and software development. This training program lasted for a week and was wrapped up on Sunday.
Training and Collaboration
Taraba State Governor, Agbu Kefas, who was represented by Deputy Governor Aminu Alkali, stated that the state is ready to work with any organizations aiming to develop youth skills. Commissioner for Digital Economy and Innovation, Gideon Nonso, signed the Memorandum of Understanding with Algorand Foundation on behalf of Taraba State.
Supporting Youth
Commissioner Gideon Nonso mentioned that Taraba State is the second state in Nigeria, after Plateau State, to benefit from this type of training. He emphasized the importance of such initiatives to improve the state's competitiveness in technology.
Future Plans
Gideon Nonso also announced plans to establish a technology village, which will further support technological development in the region.
The collaboration between the Taraba State government and the Algorand Foundation demonstrates the region's commitment to developing young professionals and enhancing technological capabilities.
