The past year has been significant for Aave, a leading decentralized finance protocol, which achieved significant milestones and plans major updates for 2025.

Key Achievements of Aave in the Past Year

Over the past year, Aave reached new heights, including launching new markets and setting record total value locked (TVL) figures. The TVL reached $35 billion, with new markets such as Scroll, BNB Chain, ZKSync Era, and Ether.fi adding a combined value of $2.55 billion.

Aave's Plans for 2025

Aave plans further development with the implementation of V4 updates aimed at improving modularity, reducing governance overhead, and increasing capital efficiency. Additionally, integrations with new chains like Sonic, Mantle, Linea, Botanix Labs' Spider Chain, and Aptos are planned. The stablecoin GHO, which debuted on Arbitrum, is set to launch on Base and Avalanche.

AAVE Token Price Dynamics

In the past year, the AAVE token's price reached $385, the highest level since September 2021. Although the price has somewhat decreased, it is still 183% higher than a year ago and about 52% off its all-time high reached in May 2021.
