Aave founder Stani Kulechov has made a prediction that the decentralized lending protocol could reach $100 billion in net deposits by the end of 2025. This statement has been prompted by the protocol’s remarkable growth figures.
Aave Founder’s Prediction
Kulechov has stated that at the current rate, Aave will reach $100 billion in net deposits by the end of the year or sooner.
Growth in Deposits and TVL
Recently, the Aave protocol surpassed $60 billion in net deposits, bringing it closer to the top 40 US banks by size. In the last year, net deposits have tripled from $18 billion in August 2024. The total value locked (TVL) also saw an increase, reaching $38.5 billion.
Factors Driving Aave's Growth
Despite a general market slowdown, the trend for Aave is supported by high demand for yield farming and arbitrage. Both individual and institutional investors have started to engage actively with the platform. Notably, the rise in ETH price to around $4,300 has also contributed to the growth of the protocol.
Kulechov's prediction and the current metrics of Aave confirm strong growth and interest in the DeFi protocol, establishing it as a significant player in the financial market.
