Amazon Web Services (AWS) has signed a deal with the Trump administration worth $1 billion to promote artificial intelligence and cloud technologies in US federal agencies.

Deal Worth $1 Billion for Federal Agencies

The General Services Administration (GSA) officially announced the agreement, which will run until 2028. Under the deal, federal agencies will receive up to $1 billion in AWS credits to rebuild their technological infrastructure. The agreement also includes training for staff and support for large-scale AI systems.

Significance of the OneGov Strategy

This is the second major contract under the OneGov strategy aimed at centralizing federal resource procurement. Instead of dealing with many private contractors, agencies will now work directly with Amazon for cloud resources.

Amazon's Role in Government Technology Transformation

The deal focuses on direct engagement with AWS, sidelining third-party vendors, which is expected to enhance efficiency and reduce costs. AWS representatives noted that this partnership will provide greater opportunities for implementing advanced technologies like artificial intelligence and machine learning.

The deal between Amazon and the US government opens new horizons for the use of cloud technologies and artificial intelligence in federal agencies, responding to modern demands.
