Amazon Web Services and WAX Blockchain Partner for Enhanced Web3 Gaming Tools

Mar 26, 2024

In a significant move, Amazon Web Services (AWS) and the WAX blockchain have joined forces to redefine Web3 gaming tools.

This collaboration focuses on simplifying the incorporation of blockchain features, particularly in the gaming sector, which marks a crucial step forward in the progress of decentralized applications (dApps).

Enhancing Web3 Gaming Tools through Partnership

As part of the alliance, Amazon Managed Blockchain (AMB), a fully managed service by AWS, will integrate support for WAX's array of Web3 tools.

WAX, recognized as the Worldwide Asset Exchange, functions as a blockchain environment that serves the gaming and non-fungible tokens (NFTs) sectors.

By becoming part of AMB, WAX enables developers to effortlessly access blockchain infrastructure through the AWS console. This integration streamlines the deployment process, allowing developers to seamlessly create on both WAX mainnet and testnets.

Furthermore, WAX provides a comprehensive toolkit, which includes the Cloud Wallet, single-sign-on services, native random number generation, developer portal, cross-chain bridge, and blockchain explorer, to enhance the overall development experience.

Lukas Sliwka, CTO at WAX, stressed the partnership's role in promoting widespread adoption of Web3 technologies. He emphasized how the collaboration empowers developers from diverse backgrounds to seamlessly incorporate decentralized features into their creations.

Dimitri Nikolaros from BountyBlok, a top 21 block producer on WAX, echoed Sliwka's sentiments and highlighted the significance of combining blockchain with traditional Web2 frameworks to fully leverage the potential of next-gen applications.

WAX's Impact in the Web3 Realm

WAX blockchain's tailor-made tools and incentive structures aim to enhance the usability of blockchain technology in various industries.

With over 140 Web3 games built on the WAX foundation and millions of transactions processed monthly, the platform cements itself as a key player in the Web3 landscape.

The collaboration with AWS further strengthens WAX's existing ties with Amazon, as seen through the inclusion of WAX-based game Brawlers in the Amazon Prime Gaming service. This partnership demonstrates WAX's commitment to driving innovation in the gaming industry and beyond, as it continues to pave the way for the adoption of Web3 applications on a wider scale.
