Avalanche has introduced its Avalanche9000 upgrade, aimed at improving scalability and lowering operational costs.

Key Features of the Avalanche9000 Upgrade

The main changes include reducing basic C-Chain fees and modifying the payment model for validators. There are also independent chain operations and enhanced interchain communication.

From Testnet to Mainnet Success

Before the mainnet launch, the upgrade was tested on the 'Fuji' testnet, demonstrating readiness and stability. Ben Forman endorsed this upgrade, acknowledging Avalanche as a major player in on-chain institutional finance.

Financial Support and Previous Successes

The upgrade was preceded by a $250 million raise led by Galaxy Digital and others, raising Avalanche’s treasury value to $3 billion in AVAX tokens.
