Users of the Banana Gun Telegram bot reported significant losses due to a major breach in the system.
Scale of the Hack
Community members on X reported that attackers siphoned off about 563 ETH ($1.4 million) from 36 unique wallets of the bot. An update from Cointelegraph stated that the total amount stolen reached $1.9 million. Hakan Unal, senior security operation center lead at Cyvers, mentioned that 11 attackers were involved. 'Hundreds of users have already been affected,' said Unal. The Banana Gun team has temporarily taken the bot offline for investigation.
