The largest cryptocurrency exchange Binance is once again alerting users to the rising incidents of fraud related to listing offers on the platform.
New Warning from Binance
Binance warns of fraudsters impersonating business development employees who claim to guarantee free project listings. The company stresses that such claims are scams, and listings are never guaranteed, as each project is evaluated based on several factors, including community demand, market conditions, and compliance.
> "Such claims are a scam – listings are never guaranteed and Binance evaluates every project on its merits," the company stressed.
Previous Alert
Last month, Binance also warned users about scammers posing as customer support who urge them to change their API settings due to alleged urgent security updates. This is merely a trick, and following fraudsters' guidance may result in fund losses. Binance’s CEO Richard Teng stated that the exchange will never ask users for their passwords or credentials over the phone.
User Recommendations
Binance advises users to verify official communication channels and personnel. Every client can check the identity of dubious individuals through the Binance Verify portal by entering a URL, email address, phone number, or social media handle. Reporting any suspicious activity is also crucial, as it helps the company enhance community security.
It is crucial to remain vigilant and be cautious of any offers related to your accounts and finances.
