Binance, the world’s largest exchange by trading volume, has announced its support for the Terra Classic ecosystem in its next Tax2Gas update.
Terra Classic Network Upgrade
As per the latest update, Binance has decided to halt token deposits and withdrawals on the Terra Classic (LUNC) network. This move is necessary to facilitate the network upgrade and ensure an optimal user experience. The upgrade will commence at around 10:15 (UTC) on September 18, 2024.
Automated Tax Calculation v3.1.5
Starting with the v3.1.5 update on Wednesday, the Terra Classic ecosystem will use an automatic tax computation mechanism. The update is scheduled to become live at block height 19850000 on Terra’s StakeBin platform by 11:27 AM (UTC).
Community Votes On Increasing Validators
Following the upgrade, the Terra Luna Classic community has unveiled a proposal aimed at critical repairs. Proposal 12133 aims to increase the maximum number of validators permitted on the network to 110 to ensure the stability of the ecosystem.
After the update, Binance will allow users to deposit and withdraw LUNC tokens once the Terra network is deemed stable. Binance continues to maintain its support for assets listed on its platform during updates and hard forks.
