A comparison between the Whatsminer and Antminer bitcoin mining machines was conducted to test their performance in extreme temperatures. The results showed that the Whatsminer outperformed the Antminer in high-temperature conditions due to its more powerful fans and better arrangement of heat sinks.

The tests revealed that the Whatsminer had larger heat sinks compared to the Antminer, enabling it to dissipate heat more effectively. In a sauna test, it was found that the Antminer S21 shut down at a lower temperature of 37/38°C, consuming 4131 watts for a production of 180 TH/s. In contrast, the MicroBT M60 shut down at 45°C, consuming 3645 watts for a production of 175 TH/s, with a better efficiency of 21 W/TH.

In conclusion, the Whatsminer M60 exhibited superior performance in high temperatures compared to the Antminer S21, operating closer to the manufacturer's announced specifications. The Antminer was found to be less efficient in hot ambient temperatures, which is a crucial factor to consider when mining bitcoins in tropical climates.
