Bitcoin continues to show significantly high performance, with the possibility of reaching $340,000 in the current bull market. This would make it the second most valuable asset in the world.
Bitcoin: Aiming for $340,000
If Bitcoin reaches $340,000, it will be the first time in its 16-year history that it surpasses previous cycle gains. The scenario put forward by macro trader Jason Pizzino suggests that BTC/USD must grow by 2,100% compared to previous cycles, which is a 'very big ask.'
Bitcoin and Macroeconomics
Pizzino notes that Bitcoin's total market cap would be $6.7 trillion, less than a third of gold's market cap estimated at around $23 trillion. This would place Bitcoin second among the most valuable assets in the world, behind gold.
Long-Term Potential of Bitcoin
According to Bitcoin JAN3 financial services, Bitcoin has significantly outperformed all major asset classes over the past five years, showing an astonishing compound annual growth rate of 58.2%. Compared to its closest competitors, QQQ and SPY, which delivered 16.28% and 13.68% respectively, Bitcoin remains 'in a league of its own.'
The fate of Bitcoin in this bull cycle remains uncertain, but a potential rise to $340,000 could change its status as one of the most important assets in the global economy.
