Bitcoin

The price of Bitcoin achieved a historic monthly close of $71,285 on the Bitstamp exchange, surpassing the previous peak of the cycle for the first time. Currently, Bitcoin is trading at $70,441 on Bitstamp, showing a slight decrease from earlier gains.

Over the past 24 hours, there has been relatively low volatility in the market, with only $114 million worth of longs and shorts being liquidated. Short positions made up the majority of these liquidations at $74 million.

Bitcoin has now seen seven consecutive months of gains, matching its longest winning streak dating back to 2012. Since September 2023, the price of Bitcoin has surged by 175%, demonstrating significant growth compared to previous periods.

Some experts, like hedge fund manager Mark Yusko and Mike Novogratz from Galaxy Digital, are making bullish predictions about Bitcoin's future. Yusko believes the price could reach $150,000 this year due to an upcoming halving event, while Novogratz anticipates Bitcoin surpassing $100,000 soon. Additionally, Robert Kiyosaki, an American businessman, has predicted a price target of over $300,000 for Bitcoin.
