DOGS Token Economics
The DOGS token is inspired by Spotty, the mascot created by Pavel Durov, the founder of TON, specifically for the Telegram community. This token represents the vibrant spirit of Telegram users and supports a charitable cause—proceeds from DOGS sales will benefit orphanages and children’s homes, continuing Spotty’s philanthropic mission. On August 15, 2024, DOGS tokenomics were revealed. The total supply is 550 billion tokens, with 81.5% allocated to the community. Of these, 73% is reserved for Telegram OGs, 10% for the team and future development, and 8.5% for liquidity and listings. An estimated 42.2 million users are eligible for the airdrop, with an average of 9,500 DOGS tokens per claim.
Listing and Trading
Bitget is among the first exchanges to offer DOGS tokens before their official launch. The pre-market trading has already seen significant activity, with volumes surpassing 4 million USDT. The current pre-market price is around 0.001 USDT, suggesting a potential market cap of 550 million USDT. Starting August 20, 2024, at 12:00 UTC, DOGS will be listed in Bitget’s Innovation and MEME Zone. Deposits are open now, and from August 20 to 24, Bitget will offer zero transaction fees on DOGS/USDT trades. Additionally, users who deposit 1,000 DOGS or more will be entered into the #BitgetLuckyDogs campaign for a chance to win up to 1 BTC.
