Cardano is launching its new project Midnight, which includes a significant airdrop for over 37 million wallets on popular blockchains.
What is Cardano's Midnight Airdrop
The Midnight airdrop is a free distribution of NIGHT tokens, the main token of the Midnight project, and DUST tokens for transaction shielding. 50% of the total airdrop will go to ADA holders, 20% to BTC holders, and 30% will be distributed among others based on their dollar value.
How to Claim Midnight Tokens
To claim the tokens, users will need to visit the official claim portal, which will be announced later. They will need to enter the wallet address holding eligible tokens and a new Cardano wallet address. After that, they must accept the terms and sign the claim. Tokens will be unlocked incrementally every 90 days.
What to Do if You Missed the Airdrop
If you missed claiming tokens in the first phase, there will be an opportunity to participate in the next phase called Scavenger Mine, where anyone can use their computer power to earn leftover tokens. There is also a final phase called Lost & Found for those who didn't claim in time, but this step must be done through the smart contract.
