CBOE Announcement
CBOE Global Markets, Inc. (Cboe: CBOE) announced plans to launch perpetual futures that will be available on the platform starting November 10, 2025.
Perpetual Futures Description
Perpetual futures for Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) will offer U.S. investors a simpler and more effective way for long-term investments in digital assets, as well as for implementing trading strategies and managing risks. These contracts differ from traditional futures in that they do not require periodic rollover and will have a 10-year maturity, simplifying position management.
CBOE Management Opinion
Catherine Clay, Head of Global Derivatives at CBOE, noted that perpetual futures have seen popularity in offshore markets, and now CBOE is bringing similar benefits to a U.S.-regulated exchange. According to Clay, the new products are expected to appeal to both institutional market participants and a growing segment of retail investors.
The launch of CBOE's perpetual futures opens new opportunities for investors in digital assets, offering a more flexible and long-term approach to trading.
