CCP Games announced the rebranding of its Project Awakening to Eve Frontier, launching on the Ethereum network. The game is developed on the Layer 2 solution called Redstone and will feature a cryptocurrency token.
Game Features
Like EVE Online, Eve Frontier is a space survival game. The game will utilize ERC-20 token standards and include other cryptocurrencies like LUX Token for in-game transactions and rewards. Players and developers can program layers using Solidity.
Future Prospects
Eve Frontier will enter closed beta testing on September 27. The game will be available on PC and Mac, targeting former EVE Online players. Last year, CCP raised $40 million for its blockchain-based projects.
