HiveFest has its roots in community conferences on the Steem blockchain. Following the launch of Hive in March 2020, the annual gathering rebranded from "SteemFest" to "HiveFest". Over the past decade, these events have been held in various countries, including Europe, Asia, and the Americas. The COVID-19 pandemic did not break the tradition, with HiveFest being conducted online in 2020 and 2021, ensuring continuous community engagement.
