In the image, Hoskinson stood next to the stand of the crypto exchange Gemini, run by Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss. He held a piece of paper with the inscription “When Ada?”
Hint at Cardano Listing on Gemini
This question seems rhetorical, but it is perceived as Hoskinson’s way of urging the Winklevoss twins’ exchange to list ADA. Notably, members of the crypto communities often ask such questions to encourage major trading platforms to list their supported cryptocurrencies. It's worth noting that ADA is already listed on Gemini, and the Cardano community has been anticipating this listing for a long time. Earlier this year, an educational initiative by Gemini on Cardano fueled hope for the listing among ADA holders. The exchange published an article by Cardano Foundation CEO Frederik Gregaard on their educational platform Cryptopedia describing Cardano as “an open-source protocol that focuses on democratizing the process of consensus and governance.”
Midnight Protocol Launch and NIGHT and DUST Tokens
As part of exciting developments in the Cardano ecosystem, the Midnight Protocol has debuted its Nightpaper. This paper introduces a new privacy-focused chain. The NIGHT token will be released as a Cardano Native Asset (CNA) and will serve unshielded governance, providing transparency for the network participants and supporting consensus participation. The second token highlighted in the Nightpaper is DUST, which will be used as a transaction resource on the network. Unlike NIGHT and traditional gas tokens, DUST will be shielded, allowing it to conceal users’ data while enabling transaction processing.
These developments indicate that Cardano continues to evolve, implementing new features and ensuring integration with other major platforms.
