Charles Hoskinson, the creator of the Cardano (ADA) blockchain, took a playful jab at the Solana community on X (formerly Twitter), highlighting the ongoing rivalry between the two Ethereum scaling blockchain networks.
Charles Hoskinson's Jabs
In a post on X, Hoskinson shared a screenshot of a satirical article posted by Nansen CEO Alex Svanevik, which joked about the founder of Solend, a DeFi platform on the Solana blockchain, being arrested in Singapore for attempting to smuggle 20,000 condoms into the city.
Solana's Community Reaction
The fake article was an attempt to ridicule the upcoming Solana Breakpoint event in Singapore and mentioned how Singaporean authorities believed the condoms were intended for use at the Solana conference. Hoskinson's caption read, "He just wanted to safely use Solana," a dig at Solana’s past technical issues and outages.
Continued Blockchain Rivalry
Svanevik joined in the fun, comparing the situation to "bringing 20,000 steaks to a vegan festival." Solana and Cardano continue to be at war, with both striving to rank among the top blockchain networks.
Charles Hoskinson's playful jab at the Solana blockchain underlines the ongoing tension between the two major blockchain networks. Despite the humorous nature of the post, it once again highlighted Solana's technical issues and took a light-hearted look at the future of the competitors.
