Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson has introduced new initiatives aiming to bring the Cardano and XRP ecosystems closer together. These plans were unveiled during a surprise AMA session on August 22.
Integration Plans
Hoskinson mentioned he had discussions with several renowned figures in the crypto space, including Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse. He noted they had a "great conversation" on how Cardano and XRP could collaborate. A significant update is that Cardano's Lace wallet will support XRP by the end of 2025, allowing users to store, send, and receive XRP tokens directly.
Joint Event for Communities
Hoskinson also announced plans to host a joint event for the Cardano and XRP communities. Pro-XRP lawyer John Deaton expressed his willingness to participate. This event would mark a significant change from past clashes between the two communities.
Moving from Rivalry to Cooperation
Just a couple of years ago, Cardano and XRP supporters were often at odds. This changed in 2024 when Hoskinson called for an end to the feud and encouraged more unity among crypto projects. Now, with Lace wallet support, Midnight airdrops, and discussions about a joint event, Cardano and XRP appear set to work more closely together.
Charles Hoskinson's new initiatives may significantly alter the relationships between the Cardano and XRP ecosystems, paving the way for closer interaction and collaboration.
