Chromia: Introducing an Incentivized Testnet

Chromia, a Layer-1 relational blockchain platform, has unveiled its incentivized testnet offering a reward pool of 250,000 CHR tokens. This testnet serves as a platform for users and developers to explore Chromia's functionalities in diverse sectors including gaming, real-world assets (RWAs), digital collectibles, and sports.

Overview of Chromia's Testnet

The testnet enables users to engage with decentralized applications (dApps) and Chromia's official wallet to earn native CHR tokens in anticipation of the platform's mainnet launch. Through a series of initiatives, participants will be able to interact with dedicated networks running on Chromia's mainnet candidate release.

In a recent press release, Alex Mizrahi, co-founder of Chromia, emphasized the importance of this testing phase in demonstrating the technology's robustness and reliability, as well as involving the community in shaping the future of the Chromia ecosystem.

Chromia Testnet Initiatives

Chromia's testnet features three main initiatives: HackNet, ProjectNet, and QuestNet.

• HackNet: This initiative is tailored for coders and technically-inclined users to evaluate Chromia's core software and provide feedback on edge cases. Running for two weeks, HackNet offers rewards totaling 100,000 CHR. The conclusion of HackNet is aligned with a third-party audit by Trail of Bits, facilitating feedback evaluation and mainnet launch planning.

• ProjectNet: Geared towards developers leveraging Rell to build on Chromia, this initiative invites developer submissions for dApps until July 26, 2024. The reward pool for ProjectNet amounts to 50,000 CHR, distributed among the top 3 projects.

• QuestNet: Scheduled to kick off on June 18, QuestNet targets everyday users, emphasizing a user-friendly dashboard enabling seamless interaction with dApps and network features such as the Chromia Vault. The prize pool for QuestNet is set at 100,000 CHR, aiming to engage and incentivize a broader user base.
