Community Reward Initiative by PancakeSwap and zkSync

PancakeSwap, a well-known multichain decentralized exchange (DEX), has announced a significant community reward program that will commence on July 5 at 10:30 am UTC and run until August 5 at 10:30 am UTC.

In this initiative, 2,452,128 zkSync (ZK) tokens will be airdropped to the community as a token of appreciation for their continued support of the zkSync PancakeSwap deployment that began in July 2023.

PancakeSwap has achieved remarkable milestones, crossing $3 billion in trading volume, securing over $5 million in total value locked (TVL), and attracting more than 1.9 million traders. The airdrop seeks to acknowledge both past and future contributors to the platform, including vote-escrowed Cake (veCAKE) holders.

The eligible participants for this airdrop encompass veCAKE holders, Liquidity Providers, Active Traders, Traverse Campaign Participants, zkSync Prediction Users, and zkSync Gauge Voters who fulfill specific eligibility requirements.

The team at PancakeSwap underlines the inclusive nature of the airdrop, stating, 'The zkSync airdrop is designed to reward both longstanding supporters who have accompanied us on this journey and newcomers who actively engage with PancakeSwap.'

Users who have made substantial contributions through trading, providing liquidity, and engaging in previous zkSync initiatives are eligible for the airdrop. Furthermore, PancakeSwap encourages forthcoming contributions by extending the airdrop to those involved in providing liquidity and trading on zkSync PancakeSwap to enhance the platform's growth.

To claim their ZK tokens, eligible users must link their wallets to the PancakeSwap homepage and follow the instructions provided in the pop-up notification. Any unclaimed tokens will be reallocated back into the PancakeSwap ecosystem for future development and community-focused projects.

Meanwhile, Matter Labs, the entity behind zkSync, has responded to allegations of 'insider minting' concerning its Libertas Omnibus non-fungible tokens (NFTs). These allegations, brought forward by the blockchain research firm SoEasy on June 17, implied that Matter Labs had distributed NFTs to ineligible insiders.

However, a representative from Matter Labs clarified that 'there were no unauthorized mints' and that all NFTs were legitimately acquired either through platform interactions or by individuals attending events.
