A recent court filing in the case against Samourai Wallet founders Keonne Rordiguez and William Lonergan Hill (known as TDev) discloses that the U.S. Government has approved the release of Hill on bail. Hill is expected to appear in court in the Southern District of New York on July 9 or 10, 2024, post his extradition from Portugal. Both parties have reached an agreement on Hill's bail release, with his defense team pushing for his release to his residence in Lisbon, Portugal. However, the U.S. government prefers releasing him to his sister's basement in Brooklyn.

As per the bail terms, Hill's family has put forth a $2 million bond comprising $200,000 in cash and a family property in New York. The defense team also proposed enhancing the bail amount to $3 million by adding more family assets. The defense emphasized Google's endorsement of Samourai Wallet over nine years as an indicator that the app was perceived to be lawful.
