David Schwartz, CTO of Ripple, announced the launch of an independent XRPL server in New York City to strengthen the network's infrastructure. This decision comes amid increasing network activity and the need for enhanced reliability and performance.
Plans for XRPL Server Launch
In a post on X, Schwartz shared plans to launch a high-performance, independent XRPL server. The new hub will feature reserved slots for key validators and app servers, enhancing network infrastructure.
XRP as Ripple's Core Asset
Despite growing interest in Ripple's stablecoin, Schwartz reaffirmed that XRP remains the central asset of the company's global payment system. He noted that XRP continues to be the most effective means for cross-border transactions due to its liquidity and speed.
Record Activity Levels of XRPL
The XRP Ledger just recorded one of its busiest months ever, processing over 70 million transactions in July. So far this year, XRPL has added 1 million new users, with total accounts exceeding 7 million.
David Schwartz's initiatives in launching the new server and strengthening XRPL emphasize the importance of developing a reliable and scalable infrastructure as the platform's popularity continues to grow.
