An unexpected clash erupted on social media between MicroStrategy CEO Michael Saylor and financial expert Peter Schiff over statements made by Saylor regarding Satoshi Nakamoto, the creator of Bitcoin.
Saylor, a well-known Bitcoin advocate, boldly claimed that everything before Satoshi would eventually be considered irrelevant. In contrast, Schiff, famous for his doubts about Bitcoin, expressed an opposing view.
Schiff took to Twitter to share his belief that Satoshi would be dismissed as irrelevant over time. Saylor, on the other hand, has not yet responded to Schiff's criticism.
The recent dispute adds more tension to a long-standing rivalry between the two figures. In the past, Schiff had criticized Saylor's decision to purchase additional Bitcoin, warning about potential losses that MicroStrategy could face.
Despite the diverging opinions about Satoshi Nakamoto and Bitcoin within the crypto community and financial sectors, the price of Bitcoin has been increasing in today's trading market, following the previous day's upward trend. However, at the start of the week, the price of Bitcoin saw a 7% decrease, currently trading at $66,300. It is important to note that MicroStrategy's average Bitcoin purchase price is about $33,700, resulting in a 96.73% profit on the company's cryptocurrency holdings.
