According to analysts, the Salvadoran government has been steadily purchasing one Bitcoin per day over the last five months, adding 160 BTC to their holdings.
El Salvador Buys 1 BTC Daily Since March 16
Data from Arkham Intelligence, shared by analyst Ember CN, revealed that the Salvadoran government hasn't missed a single day of purchasing Bitcoin since March 16. In their X post, Ember CN mentioned that the government's cold wallet buys one Bitcoin daily.
Total Bitcoin Holdings in El Salvador
According to Arkham data, El Salvador's cold wallet currently holds 5851 BTC. The value of these Bitcoin assets is approximately $355.4 million at the current BTC market price. The average cost of purchase is $44,835, with a floating profit of $93.45 million (+35%).
Bitcoin Certification for El Salvadoran Public Servants
El Salvador was the first country to legalize Bitcoin on September 7, 2021. Since then, the government has actively promoted the cryptocurrency. Recently, the country announced an educational program to train 80,000 public servants about Bitcoin and offer certifications. This course, lasting 160 hours, will be divided into seven modules.
Despite the volatility of the cryptocurrency market, El Salvador continues its strategy of actively accumulating Bitcoin while taking steps to educate its public servants about the use of cryptocurrency.
