Ethereum Co-founder Vitalik Buterin Supports Khao Kheow with Significant Donation

Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin has made a notable donation to Thailand's Khao Kheow Zoo, supporting its Wildlife Sponsorship Program.

Vitalik Supports the Zoo

Located in Chonburi Province, Thailand, Khao Kheow Open Zoo received a donation of 10 million Thai baht (approximately $292,039) from Vitalik Buterin to support a pygmy hippopotamus named Moo Deng, born in July.

Future Cooperation

The zoo hopes for further collaboration with Buterin, with plans to work with him over the next two years, benefitting the Khao Kheow community and its visitors.

Additional Support from Buterin

In response to the zoo's tweet, Buterin expressed gratitude for the warm welcome and shared his intention to allocate additional funds for supporting Moo Deng and other animals, reserving 88 ETH (about $296,050) for this purpose.

Vitalik Buterin's support significantly contributes to improving conditions for animals at Khao Kheow. Long-term cooperation plans will benefit both the zoo and its community.
