Ethereum's Achievements Over a Decade
Since its inception, Ethereum has gone through 18 upgrades, including significant changes like The Merge and the Pectra Upgrade. All these improvements have occurred without a single day of downtime, highlighting the reliability of the network. Buterin pointed out that along with fulfilling the tasks outlined in the project’s white paper, Ethereum has become a platform for many other possibilities, including the creation of non-fungible tokens (NFTs).
Ethereum as a Treasury Asset
In addition to enabling decentralized applications, Ethereum has become an important asset for the treasury of both private and publicly listed companies. Firms like SharpLink Gaming and BitMine are actively accumulating Ethereum in their treasuries, which may influence its long-term value and market capitalization. At the time of publication, the price of Ethereum was $3,602, down by 6.8% over the past 24 hours.
Ethereum's decade has demonstrated its significance in the blockchain world and its role in the financial system. Vitalik Buterin and other founders continue to work toward ensuring Ethereum remains reliable and accessible for developers in the future.
