The European Union has officially announced its collaboration with ChromaWay to develop blockchain-based sustainable solutions after ChromaWay's presentation at the EU Pre-Commercial Procurement (PCP) final review conference on July 12. ChromaWay showcased advancements in decentralized applications for Digital Product Passports (DPP) and intellectual property (IP) rights during the review process.
Innovative Blockchain Technology
ChromaWay's presentation in Brussels highlighted their innovative approach to relational blockchain technology, which enhances the organization and complexity of on-chain data, leading to improved efficiency.
The synergy of blockchain security and database adaptability in relational blockchain technology offers significant advantages for business solutions. Chromia, a public layer-1 platform designed for decentralized apps, is set to launch on July 16.
Co-founder Or Perelman from Chromia expressed enthusiasm for the ongoing collaboration with European entities, underscoring the potential institutional applications. He emphasized the transformative impact of collective efforts involving governments, authorities, institutions, and blockchain innovators in realizing the potential of Web3 technology.
EU's Strategic Outlook
The EU's positive evaluation of ChromaWay's initiatives underscores the transformative potential of relational blockchain technology across public and private sectors. By aligning creative blockchain concepts with the EU's broader strategy, this project aims to integrate sustainable practices and efficiency enhancement in various industries.
The EU remains committed to advancing technological innovations that drive environmental and economic progress across Europe.
Scheduled for July 2024, representatives from RBN Eco and ChromaWay are set to engage in discussions with the European Blockchain Association to evaluate compatibility with upcoming EU projects. A subsequent workshop in Brussels in September will outline the roadmap for Q4 2024 and beyond.
Future Partnerships
In addition to collaborating with ChromaWay, the EU has partnered with other blockchain solutions like Iota, selected by the European Commission for the Web3 ID for blockchain sandbox in June 2024. This continued support for blockchain advancements highlights the EU's commitment to harnessing cutting-edge technologies for sustainable growth.
By nurturing these alliances, the EU maintains its leadership in driving innovation that fosters economic prosperity and environmental sustainability.
