The CEO, Brad Garlinghouse, hinted at this prospect during an interview at the 2024 Consensus conference conducted by CoinDesk. Emphasizing that an IPO in the U.S. is not a current priority, Garlinghouse shed light on the potential challenges of such a move.

Lynn Martin, President of the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), has urged crypto-related ventures, such as Ripple, to explore opportunities within the exchange. Garlinghouse commended Martin's inclusive approach as a step in the right direction for the industry's evolution, contrasting it with SEC Chair Gary Gensler's more rigid stance toward digital assets.

SEC's Dispute with Ripple on XRP Status

The ongoing legal rift between Ripple and the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) concerning the classification of XRP has reached a critical juncture. Following a recent ruling that deemed XRP as non-securities, tensions have slightly eased. Despite the SEC's challenges to this ruling, Ripple's Chief Legal Officer remains optimistic about a potential resolution soon.

Ripple's Global Expansion Vision

Faced with regulatory hurdles in the U.S., Ripple is strategically broadening its horizons beyond the domestic market. This shift aligns with its prior expansions into regions like Singapore and Ireland, where regulatory frameworks are supportive. Ripple's official authorization to operate in these jurisdictions, including acquiring a Major Payments Institution license in Singapore, demonstrates its commitment to international growth while adhering to regulatory requirements.
