The United States, a leading force in the crypto industry, faces new challenges as the FBI highlights a possible scam by ICHCoin, affecting more than 1000 investors.
FBI Investigation
According to a regional media outlet, the FBI claims ICHCoin is a scam that lured over 1000 investors, causing financial damage. Amanda Culver, the FBI Assistant Special in Charge, called ICHCoin a "scheme" and a "scam," saying that the initial contact was made through social media platforms like Facebook and Instagram to persuade victims to learn about cryptocurrency investing. Once victims agreed, they were redirected to a Whatsapp chat where a purported "mentor" spoke to them. The ICHCoin application supposedly allows tracking of investment returns, but victims saw no actual gain.
