The National Bank of Bahrain (NBB) has unveiled a new investment opportunity by announcing the first Bitcoin-linked structured investment product in the GCC region.

Introduction of Innovative Investment Product

Announced at the Fintech Forward 2024 event, the product is exclusively designed for accredited investors, offering a novel way to diversify investment portfolios. The fund provides capital protection during downward trends while allowing investors to benefit from Bitcoin's price growth.

Attracting International Investors

NBB's Group Chief Executive, Hisham AlKurdi, emphasized that the new product aligns with the bank's commitment to offering innovative solutions to clients in an evolving investment landscape. He noted that this offering acts as a powerful hedge against crypto market volatility, opening new doors for investors.

Expanding Bahrain's Crypto Market

The launch follows recent developments in Bahrain's crypto industry, including ARP Digital's licensing and the enhancement of crypto services. Additionally, Crypto.com received a payment services license, underscoring Bahrain's ambitions to become a leading hub for digital finance in the MENA region.

The National Bank of Bahrain's entry into the crypto investment market through a Bitcoin-linked structured product underscores its commitment to financial innovation and leadership in the GCC region.
