Floki has completed the airdrop of Simon’s Cat ($CAT), a cryptocurrency inspired by the popular cartoon series, for Floki Inu ($FLOKI) holders.
$CAT Token Distribution
According to Floki’s official statement, 3.5% of the total $CAT token supply, equivalent to 315 billion tokens, was allocated for this airdrop. The distribution was based on two snapshots taken on August 22, 2024, at 12:00:00 UTC and on August 29, 2024, at 23:59:59 UTC. To qualify, users needed to hold at least 400,000 $FLOKI tokens. $CAT tokens were automatically airdropped to eligible users with no action required.
Snapshot Error Causes Disruption
Some users faced issues due to an error in the initial snapshot date used by Binance, set for August 24 instead of the correct August 29 date. As a result, some users received excess $CAT tokens, while others received none. In response, Binance temporarily suspended $CAT withdrawals and began reprocessing the airdrop. Binance is working to recover the excess tokens and redistribute them to those who received less or none. Users will see the adjustments in their Binance records after reprocessing is complete.
Information for Floki Trading Bot Users
Apart from the airdrop for $FLOKI holders, Simon’s Cat allocated 1.5% of its total token supply to Floki Trading Bot users. This portion will be distributed over a 30-day period as a reward for trading $CAT using the bot. The team has promised further details on this specific distribution in an upcoming post.
Despite the issues, Floki and Binance are working to ensure that all $FLOKI holders receive their $CAT tokens as per the criteria. Users can expect adjustments and token redistribution to be completed by the specified deadline.
