GDA Capital recently made a strategic investment in U-topia, aiming to influence the field of blockchain-based intellectual property (IP) licensing. The investment includes a commitment of up to $850,000 and GDA Capital executives will also join U-topia as advisors.
U-topia, known as the next-generation Web3 Entertainment Company, combines global IP Licensing in GameFi, AI Music, and Video Entertainment with NFT provenance. It utilizes intellectual property from Web2, including content from professional sports teams and video game IPs like Bandai Namco. U-topia offers rewards from Top 100 retailers such as Amazon, Apple, and Walmart in addition to premier NFT collections from Web3. These IPs will be integrated into gamified entertainment products like video games, music, and movies.
The decision by GDA Capital to invest highlights their confidence in U-topia’s potential. GDA Capital Partner, Joaquim Miro, expressed excitement about spearheading the strategic investment round in U-topia, praising their innovative approach to IP licensing. U-topia's CEO, Emmanuel Quezada, noted their commitment to developing IP content in entertainment products, utilizing technology and AI, and creating a compliant Web3 wallet for users aged 13 and above.
The investment will be used to enhance features and technologies within the U-topia platform, reinforcing its capabilities and establishing itself as a leading entity in the IP and blockchain industry.
