The Gearbox Protocol has announced the launch of a USDC vault on Etherlink, marking an expansion of opportunities in decentralized finance.
Gearbox Launches on Etherlink
Gearbox Protocol has successfully launched on Etherlink with a USDC vault curated by Re7 Labs. This initiative aims to introduce institutional-grade strategies into the DeFi space on the Tezos Layer 2 platform.
Strategies and Opportunities
Mikhail Lazarev, founder and CTO of Gearbox Protocol, noted that the integration opens new possibilities for capital efficiency in leveraged strategies due to fast confirmations. Evgeny Gokhberg, Managing Partner of Re7 Labs, added that their treasury management strategy would enhance returns by working with USDC-backed tokens while maintaining reasonable risk levels.
Transition to Apple Farm Season 2
The integration of Gearbox will also support incentives within Apple Farm Season 2, including the distribution of GEAR tokens from the Gearbox DAO. As a result, Gearbox users have already generated around $2.8 billion in trading volume across Ethereum decentralized exchanges.
The launch of Gearbox on Etherlink signifies a significant advancement for the DeFi sector and its participants, offering new institutional strategies and expanding cryptocurrency engagement.
