The trading platform Gemini has unveiled a new credit card that offers rewards in XRP. This initiative has been realized in partnership with Ripple, Mastercard, and WebBank.
Gemini Credit Card and XRP Rewards
The credit card offers users XRP rewards for everyday purchases with no annual fee, no foreign transaction fees, and no exchange fees. Rewards are credited to the Exchange wallet, where they can be stored, traded, or cashed out as XRP.
Key reward features include:
* 4% back in XRP on fuel, EV charging, rideshare, and transit * 3% back in XRP on dining purchases * 2% back in XRP on groceries * 1% back in the token on all other eligible spending * Up to 10% back in crypto at select partner merchants
New applicants approved before June 30, 2025, will be eligible to receive a $200 sign-up bonus in the token when they spend $3,000 within 90 days. The card is available only in the United States and is issued by WebBank.
RLUSD Stablecoin Integration by Ripple
In addition to the card launch, the exchange has also expanded its implementation of the RLUSD stablecoin on its spot trading platform. This allows traders in the United States to trade pairs using RLUSD as a base currency.
The new functionality enables:
* Simplified trading without additional conversion fees * Direct access to both stable value and digital assets * Faster movement between RLUSD and other supported cryptocurrencies
Ripple emphasized that the integration of RLUSD enhances user flexibility through stable settlements and high liquidity.
Gemini's Expanded Offerings Ahead of IPO
The credit card launch comes after the trading platform filed for an IPO with the SEC in June. The company is expanding its product offerings to attract more customers and prepare for going public.
In addition to its growth in the United States, Gemini has recently acquired a MiCA license in Malta to expand its services in the European market. The exchange has also started to provide trading in tokenized U.S. stocks, offering variety in its product line.
With the Ripple card and RLUSD integration, the leading exchange and Ripple are setting their partnership to combine payments, stablecoins, and crypto rewards within a regulated environment.
With the launch of the credit card and the expansion of RLUSD integration, Gemini demonstrates its commitment to enhancing user experience and broadening its operations ahead of an IPO.
