Aligned with Dubai’s ambition to be the home of 30 start-up unicorns by 2030, GITEX Global 2024 is launching GITEX Editions, the region’s most impactful gathering for fostering strategy and global governance for high-growth companies. The early confirmed speaker line-up includes 8 fast-growing start-ups from 8 countries, including 3 backed by the European Innovation Council (EIC). **AI: Fabrizio del Maffeo**, Co-Founder, CEO & Board Member at Axelera AI (Netherlands), a company aiming to become the ‘European NVIDIA’. Backed by Samsung and the EIC, Axelera AI is valued at $500 million, and GITEX Global will mark its first-ever presence in the Middle East. **Synthetic Biotech: Dr. Alexander Zhavoronkov**, Founder and CEO of InSilico Medicine (Hong Kong), will discuss AI-driven drug discovery, synthetic biology, and aging. **Sustainability Biotech: Dr. Mazen Rizk**, Founder and CEO of Infinite Roots (Germany), Europe’s largest mycelium biotech investment. **Quantum Deeptech: Dr. Joseph Fitzsimons**, Founder and CEO of Horizon Quantum Computing (Singapore), the largest quantum start-up in Singapore. **Auto Tech: Svilen Rangelov**, Co-Founder and CEO of Dronamics (UK), the world’s first cargo drone airline. **Semiconductor Deeptech: Emilio Scervo**, Chief Technology Officer and Board Member at Bugatti-Rimac (Croatia), known for creating the world’s fastest hypercars.
Cybersecurity Conference Program
GITEX Global 2024 will see cybersecurity take the spotlight with true stories from the trenches, AI-driven live hacks, and fierce CISO debates. Debuting at the event are Chenxi Wang, Managing General Partner of Rain Capital (US), and Ekaterina Serban, Vice President of Privacy and Information Security at Bosch (Germany). Named as a top international cyber investor by Fortune magazine, Wang will join global VCs and investment partners on stage to discuss the rising global interest in advanced security solutions and the surge in M&A activity in the cybersecurity sector. Serban will participate in a panel discussion with CISOs and CIOs on corporate board engagement strategies for cybersecurity adoption.
New Industry Experts on Stage
For the first time, Michael Spranger, President of Sony AI Inc., will address delegates from 180 countries at GITEX Global 2024, revealing the latest projects at Sony AI. Also debuting is Chris Duffey, Futurist & Head of GenStudio at Adobe, USA, co-author of the world’s first book on AI. Finally, Isabell Gradert, VP Central Research & Technology for Airbus in Germany, will also make her first regional appearance at the event.
