In a recent statement, Charles Hoskinson, founder of IOG, discussed the successful distribution of NIGHT tokens in the Glacier Drop project, which has greatly influenced the increase of users on the Cardano blockchain.
Attracting New Users
Charles Hoskinson reported that the NIGHT token drop has led to a significant influx of new users into the Cardano blockchain, noting that this occurred due to the organic reach of the project rather than traditional marketing. He stated: “Glacier Drop is bringing a ton of new people into Cardano.”
NIGHT Token Distribution Data
According to the data provided by Hoskinson, there have been 35,602 claims for NIGHT, amounting to 739,516,626.95 tokens, which represents 3.08% of the total supply. This indicates significant onboarding of new users to the Cardano ecosystem.
ADA Price Surge
Hoskinson's statements coincided with a notable increase in the price of ADA, which surged by 3.89% in the last 24 hours, rising from $0.7812 to $0.8190. The overall increase accounted for 13.61% considering subsequent price movements of Bitcoin after the signing of an executive order by the US president.
The Glacier Drop project clearly had a positive impact on the overall dynamics of the Cardano blockchain, attracting the attention of new users and influencing the price growth of its tokens, including ADA.
